Hair BoToX (Formaldehyde Free)

Lose the frizz - not the texture
What Exactly is Hair Botox?
Despite the name, hair botox doesn't actually involve needles or botulinum toxin (the stuff used in cosmetic injections). It’s a bit of a marketing term used to describe a deep conditioning treatment that "plumps" up your hair, much like Botox smooths out wrinkles on the skin.
Think of it as a high-end spa day for your strands. It’s designed to repair hair fibers, reduce frizz, and add a massive boost of shine.
How it Works
Over time, our hair loses nutrients and elasticity due to heat styling, coloring, and environmental stress. Hair Botox acts as a filler, plugging the "gaps" in the hair shaft with a cocktail of nourishing ingredients:
-
Keratin: To strengthen the structure.
-
Collagen: To provide elasticity and "bounce."
-
Vitamin B5 & E: To nourish the scalp and hair.
-
Essential Oils: To provide deep hydration and shine.

This treatment differs from other Keratin Treatments in that it's more akin to a Conditioning Treatment which will repair damaged hair, smoothing and rejuvenating as opposed to straigtening.

Q. Is it the same as Keratin Treatments?
A. People often confuse the two, but they actually serve different purposes.
Hair Botox focuses on repair and hydration and will enhance your natural curls whereas a traditional Keratin Treatment straightens and smooths.
Q. Is Hair Botox safe for colored or chemically treated hair?
A. Absolutely. In fact, it is highly recommended. Because it acts as a deep-level filler, it helps repair the damage often caused by lightening services. It pairs perfectly with our Bespoke Colour services to ensure your hair looks healthy and vibrant.
Q. I have curly hair. Will Hair Botox make my curls straight?
A. No. Unlike a traditional Keratin treatment or chemical relaxer, Hair Botox is a restorative treatment, not a straightening one. It is designed to deep-condition and "plump" the hair fiber. For our curly-haired clients in West Hampstead, this means keeping your natural bounce and pattern while eliminating the frizz and flyaways.
Q. Will It Make My Hair Flat?
A. No. You will retain the movement in your hair, it will be like a super-hero version of your natural hair.
Q. How long does the treatment take?
A. As seen in our latest transformations above, a standard session takes approximately 2/2.5 hours. This includes the application, the "curing" process, and a professional finish to define your new, hydrated curls.
Q. How Long Does It Last?
A. This depends on a few factors, not least, how often you wash your hair and the products you use. ALWAYS use a sulphate free shampoo, sulphates will strip the treatment quickly. We find most clients see the benefits for around 3 - 5 months
Q. Is it safe?
A. Yes. Since it’s free of harsh chemicals, it’s a safe option for anyone who has sensitivity to chemical treatments, but if you are concerned, we can offer a patch test.
Q. What aftercare is required to maintain the treatment?
A. To protect your investment, we recommend using SULPHATE FREE cleansers and moisture rich conditioners. Your Stylist will provide with a tailored prescription of homecare products to ensure your hair remains frizz free and shiny long after you leave the salon.
We recommend that you discuss your requirements fully with your stylist before doing your any treatment to ensure you get the best outcome for your particular requirements and aftercare/maintenance.
This particular treatment is great for anyone who wants to maintain the optimal health of their hair and make it much more manageable, particularly in the British climate.
Always use a sulphate free shampoo as sulphates will strip the keratin from you hair and your treatment will not last. We have shampoo in the salon and we recommend that you purchase some at the time of your appointment as we cannot guarantee the treatment if you are buying shampoo externally. You can use any other product i.e. conditioner, styling products etc without worrying that it will affect your treatment.
