If you’ve taken a stroll through West Hampstead lately, you’ve likely noticed a change in the air. The era of the "over-processed" blonde and the high-contrast stripe is officially behind us.
In 2026, Londoners are demanding hair colour that looks expensive, feels healthy, and grows out with total grace.
At Baykar London, we’re seeing a shift toward "Quiet Luxury" for hair.
Here are four of the major London Colour trends 2026 which are dominating our salon chairs this season.
"Buttercream" & Champagne Blondes
The icy, silver-toned "Scandi" blondes of the past few years have been replaced by a much warmer, more flattering palette.
The Look: Think creamy, buttery tones that mimic how hair looks under a soft sunset. It’s all about "luminous" rather than "white."
Why it works: These warmer tones reflect more light, making your hair look significantly shinier and healthier. Plus, they are far more forgiving against your skin tone during the grey London winter.
The "Double-Shot" Brunette
For our dark-haired clients, 2026 is the year of the "Double-Shot." We are moving away from flat, one-tone browns and toward deep, multi-dimensional espresso shades.
The Look: A rich chocolate base with "ribbons" of caramel or mocha woven through the mid-lengths and ends.

"Digital Copper" & Muted Auburn
Red is the biggest breakout trend of the year, but it’s evolved. Instead of the bright "cowboy copper" of last year, we are seeing "Digital Copper"—a more refined, metallic version of red.
The Look: Imagine a mix of apricot, burnt sienna, and rose gold. It has a futuristic sheen that looks incredible on textured and curly hair.
The Vibe: It’s bold enough to make a statement but earthy enough to feel sophisticated for the office.
The "Lived-In" Luxury - Our Personal Favourite (Grey Blending)
More than ever, our clients are embracing their natural silver strands rather than fighting to hide them.
The Trend: Graphite Contrast. Instead of a solid "cover-up" dye, we use ultra-fine lowlights, highlights and glosses to blend the grey.
The Benefit: You can stretch your appointments from every 3 weeks to every 8–12 weeks. It’s a softer, more modern way to age beautifully.
